From 15 to 18 December this year, cinemas throughout France will  play host to the FÊTE DU COURT MÉTRAGE, for a scintillating festival of screenings, live filmmaking, meetings with industry professionals, masterclasses and workshops for kids and adults alike.

This first “Fête du Court métrage” is the offspring of two previous events "Le Jour Le Plus Court" – a national initiative around short films which had run since 2011 – and the Paris-based event "Faites des courts, faites des films".

The Festival de Cannes and Cannes Court Métrage are proud to be associated with this national event, supported by the CNC and open to all who wish to celebrate the joys of short films. The occasion will provide an exclusive view of the prizewinning short Films from the Competition and Cinéfondation at the 69th Festival in 2016.
